Moderating the Millennial

Futures are a commodity overlooked in terms of the millennials, in the concept that we may not yet see ourselves as the true future. We are part of the information age and that change of training, living or lifestyle may seem incorrect as it grates on the ideals pertaining to an aging generation of baby boomers. This would be a disagreement for a lengthy argument however is not entirely true as the change is powered by the ideals of the past generation that raised us. No it is not fair to say that the view or outlook of each generation is the same, the motor that drives us all however is and that is the point of the matter. The millennial does read, just on a screen. The millennial does work, just more and more from home and less in terms of more physical labor. The millennial is apt to aging concepts, just applies them to new trades being developed as we speak. The millennial is capable, just potentially more vocal without ever having to raise a voice.

We see our generations change each passing year and we hear the “back in my day” story too often as a comparison between them when there should be no comparison as they are not the same. Not the same in terms of application of ideals or motor skill is more the point to hit with the hammer. The millennial generation has been pushed out of many large scale jobs by either aging individual’s not letting them go as we continue to live longer, healthier and fantastical lives; or by the automation in factories that used to use our human hands. As such it would seem that a paradigm shift has occurred that looks to be a cause of slothfulness and disrespect to our elders when in fact it is more of a simple response necessary for growth. New daily jobs are created, with the screens that “too much time are spent on”, as they are the future of a nurtured internet generation. There is no way that the education is less, in fact, the millennial has vastly stronger learning potential as every device that connects to the internet makes that person instantly able to research any subject on the spot. That is not too that they become an expert, which does take the time and integrity of the independent baby boomer success story to achieve; however it does allow for instant insight and opportunity. And these opportunities are the seeds of the millennials growth and job creations.

As an example, there are more and more services being plied to online applications than ever before as millennials grow into they’re respected fields that create and nurture professional development unlike ever before. This would appear as the forms of sloth that we notice as a person is staring at their phone, unable it would seem to act independently from it; this is untrue as the independent act has already occurred. A problem arose, noted and realized to be beyond the instruments or education at hand however with the an act of simple interdependency and acknowledgment the task may be instantly researched from an expert to be applied to the situation for a greater team success! That does not apply to the person researching the “ex’s” current girl/boy friend on facebook of course; however it could end in a positive outcome should that new individual actually be involved in the area of study the two are in tow with life.

Beyond this, as the millennials grow into a larger world of interdependency provided by an instant connection of the interwebs, is it possible to prospect the idea that there is a chance that the jobs of old lost to automation may be recanted into the millennial’s hands? The hands may not blister or break and still could be doing the jobs of old by controlling the automation’s arms from home! It’s not unfair to say that “drones” or “machines” seem to be stealing floor level jobs however it’s the new generation’s time to take them back and repurpose the new old concept into ever newer and evolving chances. The plus side to this is the creation or potential realization that the model of “I should do it all myself as I do it best” convert into a more productive model involving thought movements and teaching via instant connections so that base level positions are completed with higher level efficiency leaving more time for higher level thoughts and learning.

There is no doubt any more that humanity is its worst own enemy and without time for new production models to develop it may also be the terminus of growth. We are demanding change, change that is not needed; we shouldn’t demand review what already is working as in reality, the change in such dire demand has a success rate approaching 0. In western culture, the ideal of nurturing the “hard work for life” model is indeed changing and must change to create the time necessary to solve the new old problems. That will take higher level and creative thought, higher level/creative thought takes time, time procured by new models of work/life, models soldiered by more sophisticated production capacity views that harbor stronger long term production life/quality! To this the millennial is perfectly situated and geared, taught the old ways morels, strengthened by the view of the past’s ethic and trained into the new models they have grown into! The time is right, the voices are being heard, the ethos is changing and growing with us all and now is the application of the age being heralded in. So long as they use the training of high level thought produced by an interdependent and instant access to most short term hazards answered; with the power of old work ethic there should be all the keys to a stronger generation coming up than ever before! Behold the millennials and what they shall accomplish as it should be glorious indeed as they are the only commodity of the future we all need to start really investing our faith into.
